Okay so you're engaged, let the planning begin! First things first, where are you going to have your wedding reception? With the help of your savvy planner and your budget decided, you have looked at one venue that matches exactly what you're looking for and you're done! If only it were that simple! Within the last couple of weeks I have looked at 4 venues, and I think I have found the one. I am not going to tell you where we've chosen yet, but I wanted to share with you some tips that helped me save time and made my huge decision fairly easy. Who's invited? Make sure you have the number of guests locked down so you know what size venue to look for. Ask yourself if you want to do a ceremony and reception at the same venue, better pricing is sometimes available if you do both at one location, not to mention it's easier on your guests. Consider the time of year you would like your wedding to take place and choose a date. Keep in mind most venues offer huge discounts during the off season here in Arizona (June,July, August) Second, think about the style of wedding you want, an outdoor garden reception, an indoor soiree or maybe a fiesta under the stars! Whatever mood you're going for, your venue can help set the tone. Once you've found the right one, you'll know, and the emotional connection is made and suddenly visions of yourself walking down the aisle start to stir in your imagination!
